Charity Testimonials
PAWS Montclair was honored and thankful to have been selected by. . . [the] Imagine Concert group as the recipient of the proceeds from their event in August, 2016.
Altogether. . . the group raised over $2700 for PAWS, far exceeding their original goal of $1,000! PAWS is a 501c3 charitable organization that has been serving the Montclair community for 40 years, rescuing, sheltering, vetting, and rehoming abandoned and homeless animals. The money raised for PAWS from this event went directly to the care of the animals in need. The[ir] dedication and determination. . . is truly amazing. These young people are very talented, professional and pulled-together on all fronts. Carole Michales President/Director PAWS Montclair, NJ |
Participant Testimonials
I’ve been a part of In Harmony Montclair for one and a half years. I’m a singer and guitarist, and it’s amazing to me how I can help out charities that put time and effort into making the lives of those in need a little better through doing some of the things I most love. So far, I’ve participated in two concerts, a Harmony Concert and a mini-I.H.M. Concert, and yet it’s like those performances encompass many more shows than just one and a half, which to me is a great feeling entwined with wonderful memories of us laughing and practicing together as a group of friends. As for our manager and founder of I.H.M., Maggie Borgen, she is excellent at keeping us all organized and calm. The amount of energy she puts into setting everything and everyone up is incredible, and she’s so much fun to work with!
I.H.M. is for anybody looking for a great group of people who share a common interest in performing. There are so many wonderful and talented teens here, and everyone becomes pretty close with one another when practicing and performing. As long as you’ve got a talent that you think is worth showing off for a good cause besides the fun of doing so, we’d love to have you! We promise you’ll have a great time!

I have been a part of IHM for two years, and in both of them, I’ve not only had fun, but I’ve grown and also helped the world. The first year I was in it, we raised more than $2,000 for animals through an organization called Paws Montclair. Along with doing that, I also got to experience two more things. The first one is fun. I love singing, and through this I got to show it to others, and get better, too! The second thing is meeting so many new people, and making new friends. I had only seen these people a couple times at practices, and yet I got a piggyback ride during intermission!
The second time was even better. We got a lot of new participants, and I got to make even more friends! One more thing I’d like to mention about it is that everyone there is so nice! I remember that backstage, I was nervous, so the stage manager said that when I went out to perform, she would sit in the audience so I wasn’t nervous. Overall, IHM is a great fun experience that raises money, and helps the world.
